Amada F1 NT series Laser cutter with Automated loading tower

With previous lasers we had two cutting heads with different focal points. With the F1 laser there is only one cutting head. The use of adaptive mirrors allows this by changing the diameter of the beam based on the cutting data programmed for the material. Not having to change cutting heads reduces setup times but above all enables us to operate unattended through different material types and thicknesses automatically.

The laser cutter also has an auto nozzle changer that allows seamless cutting of a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The 8 station unit will change, clean and calibrate unattended. This feature negates the need to stop and start the laser for nozzle changes like you have with other machines. We are able to cut the following materials.

Mild steel up to 25 mm

Stainless Steel up to 12mm

Aluminium up to 10mm

The beauty of the F1 is that we can dramatically cut down on lead times, with the ability to change materials automatically, even mid program for urgent orders.

Now here’s the best bit! We also invested in a 6 stack automated tower which automatically selects the material for cutting, loads it onto the cutting bed, then when completed feeds it back to the tower ready for the operator to prepare for despatch. With this automation in place we are able to cut 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year unmanned.  Enabling us to be cost effective due to reduced staffing costs for overnight production.
